Tesla Model S Engine Compartment HEPA Filter

The Denckermann M111013K is a large HEPA filter designed for installation in a Tesla or Model S engine compartment. The filter cleans the outside air entering the ventilation system and reduces the amount of fine particles, dust, pollen, and contaminants entering the passenger compartment.

This product replaces the original Tesla part numbers 1059333-00-D and 1059333-00-E. This is not the smaller fresh air filter located inside the passenger compartment, but rather the engine compartment HEPA filter located near the front trunk.

This filter is not compatible with all Tesla and Model S vehicles. Before ordering, check that your car has a large HEPA filter located in the engine compartment and that the size or part number of the old filter matches the specifications for this product.

The Model S, which was updated in 2021, uses a different HEPA filter, so compatibility must be verified—especially for 2021 model year vehicles—based on the date of manufacture or the original part number.

Things to consider during installation

The HEPA filter is located in the front trunk, also known as the “frunk.” Replacing the filter requires removing the front trunk tray. According to the Tesla Service Manual, the filter is secured to the front trunk structure with ten bolts.
