Staggered fitment table

Choosing tires and wheels is essential when it comes to enhancing safety and driving experience. Tires and wheels that are right sized and fitted guarantee the vehicle is easy to handle and safe to drive. The size of the wheel is one factor that affects the feel when driving. Larger wheels may improve handling and performance, but smaller wheels reduce noise, add driving comfort and require less power. The difference is notable especially when driving Model 3 or Y.

Here in the north we value winter tires that keep grip even on snow and ice. This often means that the tires should be studded, which may increase noise. Nevertheless, there are silent studded models on the market, so you don't have to compromise comfort if you like stud grip.

Choosing offset

The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.

The higher the offset value, the more in front of the centerline of the wheel the hub mounting surface is. The lower the offset value, the more behind the wheel centerline the hub mounting surface is. By selecting suitable offset, the level of the wider wheel can be adjusted to match the level of the narrower wheel in a staggered configuration.

If there are multiple offset options for your car model, the choice is mainly aesthetic. More information available on the fitment table.

There are many online tools that help for example compare different offset values and wheel widths.
The most popular of these is probably Willtheyfit.com.

Staggered

In a staggered fitment the tires and wheels are different sizes at the front of the car compared to the rear of the car. This fitment is commonly used for high-performance and sports cars. A staggered configuration results in faster acceleration, better handling of the front and better grip of the rear.

We have listed some example widths that can be used in a staggered fitment in different car models. These are provided by our wheel supplier.
