Installation

When replacing the left front-wheel drive axle, the front wheel and the mounting points on the axle hub and the front drive unit are removed according to Tesla’s instructions. The new axle is locked and the seals are checked, and the tightening torque is used according to the instructions. This applies to the second-generation front-wheel drive unit.
