Installation

When replacing the left front-wheel drive axle, the front wheel and the attachment points on the drive axle hub and the front drive unit are removed. During installation, ensure that the axle is locked and the seal is in good condition. TeslaThe instructions also address the need for an updated axle seal in conjunction with OE number 1553109-00-B. Check the correct version for your car.
