Protective film for car paint protection

Protective tape is most commonly used on the most sensitive parts of the car, such as the edges of the trunk lid, fender arches, rocker panels, front bumper, and the front edge of the hood.

Clean water or soapy water can be used to aid installation. When using soapy water, it is important that the soap's pH is neutral (pH 7). The recommended mixing ratio is 3–15 parts soap to 100 parts water (3–15:100). Soapy water makes it easier to move the film during installation but dries more slowly than plain water. Plain water can also be used for small and quick installations.

When installing on curved surfaces, a heat gun makes it easier to shape the tape. After installation, carefully heat the edges of the tape, but do not exceed 80°C, to ensure adhesion. Use a squeegee over the tape to remove any water or air bubbles trapped under the film. Finally, dry the surface and remove the protective film.

Careful preparation is important for a successful outcome. The surface to be taped must be completely clean. It is recommended to wash the area with a silicone remover and finish cleaning with a dust cloth. It is easier to work if you cut a piece of tape to the appropriate size before installation.
