Fourth place and a fantastic 8,6 points in Tuulilas' big summer tyre test
The Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ was an excellent fourth in a tyre test by Tuulilasi (Tuulilasi 3/2017). The Nankang performed particularly well in rainy weather. Tuulilasi said of the Nankang. In the rain, the driving behaviour is commendably neutral. "The Nankang also scored consistently well in other areas, scoring at least an eight in every measurement. As a result of this consistent performance, the machine score was only half a point off the test win.
"Affordable Nankang surprised with improved performance"
Nankang was clearly the cheapest tyre in the test, which also caught the attention of Tuulilasi. Tuulilasi reported that the Nankang was up to €50 cheaper than the second cheapest tyre in the test, and the most expensive tyre was as much as 79% more expensive than the Nankang. Despite this, the Nankang was an excellent fourth in the test, just half a point off the test win. However, the significantly lower price was not taken into account in the scoring.
Excellent success in Tekniikan Maailman's big summer tyre test
The Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ is a real winner in the Tekniikan Maailman (8/2016) summer tyre test, which did very well among the much more expensive brand tyres. In the final result, the difference between Nankang and Michelin is only 0.4 points. The Nankang scores 8.1 and the Michelin 8.5. The difference is negligible.
The result is a treat for all motorists who want to buy summer tyres at a lower price and feel confident that they are getting safe tyres. The Tekniikan Maailman test focuses primarily on the safety of summer tyres. Nankang is particularly praised for safety aspects such as wet grip and dry handling.
Nankang's wet braking is good
The Nankang's wet braking performance scores a 9, while the Michelin, for example, scores an 8. The Nankang is also better than the Michelin in dry braking. In wet handling and dry handling, the Nankang and Michelin score the same.
Excellent design ensures a safe outcome
The AS-2 Sportnex also performed well in tests carried out by the prestigious TÜV SUD. The test pits the tyre against three leading tyre brands, comparing dry and wet grip, driving feel, noise levels and rolling resistance, among other things.
The AS-2 Sportnex was awarded the TÜV SUD quality mark after a very successful test.
